Brand direction and management

COMMSCOPE BRAND UPDATE

Following a series of acquisitions, I worked closely with external resource to develop this comprehensive brand refresh repositioning CommScope and differentiating from it's competitors. The vibrant design system with it's colorful palette and iconic ribbon were intentionally chosen to modernize the brand and empower the growth strategy.

These brand identities are extensions of the design system's vibrant palette and typography.


NOVUX and Constellation: Wild Onion Design

CORPORATE PROGRAM IDENTITIES

Unique visual identities were also created for public-facing corporate initiatives as well.

BRAND TRANSITIONS

Transitioning brands following acquisitions is tricky business. Here we applied all 3 identities and adopted the familiar color palette of ARRIS and RUCKUS combined with forward-looking messaging that was used consistently during the transition.

RUCKUS BRAND EVOLUTION

Updating a brands identity can energize both marketing materials and the business itself. RUCKUS is a great example of both. The objective here was to shift to a purpose-driven brand. The dog graphic symbolizes that intent with it's sturdy body and forward lean. The bark graphic symbolizes wireless connectivity.

BUILDING A VERSATILE DESIGN SYSTEM

Building a robust design system and formulating comprehensive usage guidance is key to a successful brand launch.

NASCAR BRANDING

Had some fun applying the updated CommScope brand to Daniel Suarez car and trailer

...and the drivers suit as well.

EVENT BRANDING

The dynamic ribbon combined with minimalist stand architecture and furniture make a bold statement at Mobile World Congress in Spain.

FACILITY BRANDING

The combination of color and graphics make a bold entrance in the lobby of the Goa facility in India.

INNOVATION CENTER

The large interactive kiosks and presentation stage represent the colorful design system well in the Innovation Center in Minnesota. Facilities branding requires additional nuances, like lighting and textures, be established to ensure consistent application.

FLEET BRANDING

Bold color and angular graphic adds some zip to the CommScope fleet.

I work closely with web developers to ensure updated design proposals will work well within the existing web structure. Working outside of the web production environment enables many different options to be developed, presented and modified quickly. Once layouts are approved, the image sections can be output separately for web production.

now meets next

This video introduced the updated CommScope brand system including the new "now meets next" theme, forward-looking brand narrative and colorful ribbon that symbolizes the powerful but invisible connectivity that surrounds and empowers us everyday. The ribbon graphic was an important aspect of the updated design system that added color and movement and proved to be a real differentiator from competitors.

Join the evolution

This was a fun one from concept through final production. We storyboarded every shot so the model and crew understood how to properly interact with the post-production graphics. Both appreciated the attention to detail.

NASDAQ tower video

This was a really unique application. We incorporated the trademark tower windows into the creative, which required accuracy-to-the-pixel to get the fit just right. The production crew at NASDAQ was top notch!
